How to play

  • Each player has four tokens in their yard. Roll a 6 to bring one out onto your coloured start square.
  • On your turn, tap the die, then tap a token to move it that many squares along the track and into your home column.
  • Land on a square holding an opponent's token (not a star or a coloured start square) and it goes back to their yard — you get a bonus roll.
  • A 6, a capture, or getting a token home earns another roll. Three 6s in a row and you lose the turn.
  • You must roll the exact number to land a token home. First to get all four tokens home wins; the table plays on for 2nd, 3rd and 4th.
  • The computer is an honest heuristic — it grabs captures, races leaders home and covers its tokens, but it doesn't search ahead.

Ludo

Roll the die, race your four tokens around the board and home. Open a table for 2–4 players online, pass-and-play on one device, or fill the seats with the computer.

Tables for 2–4

Create a table, share the six-letter code, and friends drop into the open seats. Any empty seat can be filled by a bot. Everyone readies up, the host starts.

Full placements

The game doesn't stop at first place. Play carries on until every token is home, so each table ends with a clean 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Pass & play

Two, three or four players on one device, taking turns around the same board — Ludo has nothing to hide, so there's no pass screen to get in the way.

Honest bots

The computer takes captures, chases the leader home and covers tokens in danger — a solid opponent, not a psychic one.
